Public Sector Marketing Specialist

Amanda is an experienced strategic public sector sport & physical activity consultant with expertise in strategy, marketing & behaviour change & 25 years’ experience in the sport, leisure, culture & well-being sector. As a local authority Head of Service, she led multiple operational & management teams, responsible for delivering high quality customer focused leisure & cultural services including Health & Wellbeing, Sport Development, Customer Service, Arts & Cultural Development, Marketing & Event Management.

Amanda led the innovative & very successful Sport England funded £1.6 million City of Football project in Nottingham, using behaviour change principles to drive increased participation especially with under-represented groups & in-active people. Amanda worked with a diverse & cross-sectorial range of partners from across Nottingham challenging the traditional approach & football infrastructure & explored new ways to engage people, bringing together a unique partnership in the city including sports, creative, cultural, business, voluntary & community sectors.

Some of the key clients Amanda has worked with include The FA, Sport England, The Football Foundation, Active Partnerships & Leicester City Council. Amanda is also a Director of The Marketing & Leadership Academy, an accredited study centre for CIM where she heads up operations but can occasionally be persuaded to tutor students.

All things cycling, especially Track cycling where she regularly competes in national & international Masters’ competitions
